Many small businesses are unsure of what they need to do in order to take control of their online presence and some even overlook the value of being represented online. It can be a daunting task, especially if a business owner is not extremely savvy in online marketing but ignoring the internet is a sure way to fail in business these days. I get much satisfaction in watching a new business prosper when I can help them establish and maintain their online identity. Recently I had the opportunity to help build a website for Hacienda’s Mexican Grill here in North Scottsdale, AZ. The first step was to build a solid website that is attractive and gives the user a way to find out all the important information like location, menu, specials, history, blog and a way to contact the restaurant. Once a solid website was built, the focus needed to be placed on building the social network pages like a Facebook business page, a Twitter page and even a Google + Business page. I like to tie all of these together with the website blog so any time a new story is added to the Twitter account get’s updated as well as the Facebook and Google +. All of these social network accounts should work together and also have a similar look and feel by using the logo and supporting images in them all. Finally, in the case of a restaurant, it is extremely important to stay on top of review sites such as Yelp, FourSquare, and Trip Advisor. I make sure that I am the manager for all of these accounts and keep an eye on reviews and am able to respond to customers and make sure that every stays happy. It is important to keep all of the information on every avenue up to date and 100% correct. I also made sure to add Hacienda’s to the Happy Hour App which is made by a company called GoTime. With a solid online plan like this Hacienda’s can rest assured that their best interests are always in mind and their restaurant is running just as smoothly and efficiently online as it does in the real world. Wild About Trial’s new Kickstarter campaign

I have never set up a Kickstarter campaign but I am glad I got a chance to do so with the Wild About Trial project. It is a pretty involved process but it went live on the 6th of December and runs until the 6th of January. I was very excited to work with a great team of individuals to create a new company, website and app devoted to criminal trial coverage. It has been an amazing experience working with Alison Triessl, the creator and owner of the company, and in less than a year we have built an incredible brand that has grown quite an audience in a very short time. We are continually refining and upgrading the website and apps to provide the best experience for our users. Look for big things in 2013 for Wild About Trial including a redesigned website and apps along with a television show that is in the works.
